Questions

When is the GD PET/PST?

Not announced yet. The forces hold it, and CRPF issues the admission certificates on rect.crpf.gov.in about two weeks before. CRPF's recruitment helpline: 011-26160255.

I'm from the hills or the north-east. What height do I need?

Choose your region and category in "About you" above, or see the table under "Height and chest, with every relaxation". A relaxation needs the Annexure IX certificate from the DM, SDM or Tehsildar; ST candidates show their ST certificate.

Can I be rejected for my weight?

Not at the PST. At the medical, the medical officer weighs you, and a BMI below 18 or above 25 is rejected.

How much does an NCC certificate add?

"C" certificate 8 marks, "B" 4.8, "A" 3.2 — added to your normalised CBE marks. Only if you claimed it in the form and show the original, issued by 1 January 2026; not for ex-servicemen.

When does the next GD form come?

SSC's calendar for 2026-2027 puts the advertisement in September 2026, the closing date in October 2026 and the exam in January 2027 to March 2027, with NIA added to the forces. A calendar is SSC's plan — the dates that count come with the notice.
