How we make money
๐ฌ "If it's free, you're the product" โ not here, and here's why
That saying exists because most free sites monetise your data. ToolGalli can't โ our tools run in your browser and your files never reach us, so there is no data to sell even if we wanted to. Fair question then: how does this stay running?
Today
Honestly: ToolGalli currently earns almost nothing, and that's fine. Because your device does the processing, our running costs are a small fraction of what upload-based tools pay for servers. A small independent team can afford to keep this free the way a server-heavy company cannot.
What we plan
- Professional tools (ToolGalli Pro). Tools for people who do paperwork for a living โ chartered accountants, HR teams โ like our bank statement โ Excel converter. These are free while we build them; convenience features for professionals may become paid later. Same privacy rules: client files never leave the professional's device.
- Clean advertising, possibly. We may show ads to keep the consumer tools free. If we do: they will never be targeted using your files or anything you type into a tool โ we can't see those. Ad providers may set their own cookies, which is why our privacy page mentions them.
What we will never do
- Never sell, share or monetise your documents or personal data โ we never have it in the first place.
- Never move your file processing to our servers to "unlock" monetisation.
- Never paywall the basics: resizing a photo for an exam form or unlocking your own eAadhaar should not cost money.
- Never fake-free tricks โ no watermarks held hostage, no "premium" popup after you've done the work.
Keeping us honest
This page is a public commitment โ if you ever see us break it, call it out at feedback@toolgalli.com. And the only usage data we hold is anonymous and public at /api/counts, so you can check what we see.
