Questions

What is the exam group, and which is mine?

Your qualification decides it: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics (with computer science and IT) or Civil engineering, or CMA for a B.Sc. in Physics and Chemistry. CBT-2's 100 technical questions come from your group's syllabus. With qualifications for two groups, you choose one and opt for the posts it fits.

Can I apply with a B.E. or B.Tech instead of a diploma?

Yes — in the same discipline. A shorter diploma doesn't count; it must be three years.

I have had Lasik. Can I be a JE?

Not in an A-3 post. A B-1 post is possible if the surgery was at least one year ago, the residual corneal thickness is at least 425 microns, and RRB's other conditions are met.

Is a calculator allowed?

Not your own — no calculator or any electronic device may be brought in. In CBT-2 a virtual calculator is on the screen.

Can I apply to more than one RRB?

No. One common application, to one RRB, for all the posts you want. Applying to more than one RRB gets every application rejected.
